If you look under the internal tab of the Acid Music Studio 5.0 it looks like you can get some peaks at what is yet to come in Acid Pro 5.0. So far I've seen a couple things under there that aren't exposed on the surface of Acid Music Studio or Acid Pro 4.0.

1. External Hardware controler support
2. External/Editable Groove templates
3. Initialize CLR Host?

Oh there's also an "Expose SQA tools", when set to TRUE it will expose a couple menus under the tools menu once you restart the program. One of them is a "Crash" menu item. Imagine that.....before we had to go through a bunch of steps to make Acid crash, now there's a menu item that instantly makes Acid crash. :-)

That's OK, I believe there's also a "lock no-crash mode" option.

"If you look under the internal tab of the Acid Music Studio 5.0..."

Where is this? I don't see an "internal" tab on the Music Studio page. Can you post a link? Also, I remember a couple weeks before 4.0 came out (all those years ago...:o)) someone found a page on this site with some features listed. It wasn't supposed to be seen yet, but someone found it and posted here. Maybe our friends at Sony do this on purpose to generate a little extra buzz? Okay, NOW we need the demonic laughter...

Peace.

Wasn't that internal preferences tab talked about by Sony before? I'm pretty sure they mentioned something along the lines that those were possibly features that were being worked on for the release, but didn't neccessarily make it in there. Also, they have said that you play with those settings at your own risk. Sony tech support will not get you out of a bind if you should happen to screw something up.

Not trying to contradict you Red, but I'm sure I've seen something on these forums about those hidden preferences, and basically, you can't count on those to be in the present/next release.

Mario

PS: Come to think of it, I think it was in the Vegas- Video forum.

I know Mario, you can't count on them but I think these are good indications. The external hardware control for sure. In Acid Pro 4.0 there was the items for external controls in there, but now in Acid Music Studio there are the same items, but now there are values placed in those fields. For the Groove templates it's actually a location pointer of where you are saving the templates too. That one has to be in there...........that was one of my feature requests for the next releases of Acid and Vegas...

mu...mu...muhahahahahaha...
