Subject:Realtime playing of MIDI channels using Kontakt?

Hi... working with the 4.0f demo I have Kontakt working as a VST instrument. Using the general tab folder, I can assign MIDI channels and hear the different instruments. However, I'm unable to play (in realtime) anything other than what's assigned to channel 1. Is this done on purpose? Am I not setting this up correctly? Thanks, Jon |

You need to set your MIDI keyboard to transmit on the other channels if you want to hear that channel playback in real-time. This is a pain (I know) because other applications like Cubase and SONAR will automatically transmit on the MIDI channel of the track you have highlighted but ACID will not. ACID really has no concept of a track channel because a MIDI track can contain multiple MIDI streams on multiple channels. ~jr |

Well thanks... That IS a pain! If Acid was able to render MIDI data the same way Sonar does it would be a much viable contender for me. Guess I'll pass... I still like Vegas and SF though! Cheers |
