Seems ACID loops would be good for composing a Flamingo counter rythem track. Has anyone done it or tried it?

You mean Flamenco music? I haven't tried it personally (my skills are rudimentary at best in that field), but I do believe SPD did such a library dealing with guitar.

I'm pretty sure it's the bird. What kind of sound does a flamingo make?

Well I tried to recreate this but I couldn’t find a Flamingo. I do, however, have a family of Wild Turkeys that come through my backyard each day and they make sort of a “gobley, gobley” sound. Now if you use a little compression and some pitch shifting, you might get that into the Flamingo range. If you pitch shift too much it starts to sound like a Pigeon so be careful. ;-)

"... composing a Flamingo counter rythem track"

I think he meant loops to create a rhythm track that would be used to entice his flamingo to dance on his counter.

I've done this before. Trust me, you DON'T want to go there!!

Now you're just winging it.

To think there's only one intelligent answer to the question asked.
We'll let the original poster decide which one.

Hey! There is a Latin Music Artists Composition/ Remix contest over on Acidplanet.com. I'll bet Flamingo Music would work for this.

Mike,

I know this is an old thread but I found some Flamenco loops at Freeloops.com. Apparently, the author, Jaco Abel’s mother was a classical Spanish dancer and his father a flamenco dancer and guitar player. I’ll bet these are good loops. See, I was thinkin’ of ya’ all along. ;-)
