Subject:New computer.....acid pro 4 not working

I just bought a brand new HP computer and loaded up acid pro 4. The problem is the serial # doesn't work on my HP computer, but on my other computer it does. Is there some sort of problem with HP computers for it not to work? Maybe some settings problem or something?

With your new comp came a new comp ID number. You'll need to contact customer service.

Mario

EDIT: Actually come to think of it, mine installed no problem on my new PC. So my original suggestion stands... call customer service.

As Mario mentioned, ACID generates a new computer ID each time you've reformatted your system or installed ACID on a new machine.

Straight from Sony's registration FAQ:

"When do I need a new activation code?

You will need to obtain a new activation code if you install a new version of the Windows Operating System, change the lettering of your hard drives by adding or removing hardware, install the application on a new computer, or reinstall Windows after a system crash."

Be sure to contact customer service via the link in my previous post. They should be more than happy to help you.
