Hi there, I'm tring to record a mix straight from my decks and mixer onto my PC busing Soundforge but for some reason it keeps on missing split seconds of the tracks at various random points.
I've defragged my HD, closed down ALL non-essential programs, increased the buffer rate but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what the problem could be because its really got me baffled (not that that takes a lot).

Sounds like what typically occurs with programs that are downloaded demo versions. Other than that, you'll have to provide a bit more info for an educated guess.

Geoff - I haven't tried those tweaks just yet so I'll use that link and give them a try. My system is a P3 933, 512 SDRAM, 160GB HD. I'm currently only using the 'Intel Integrated Sound' as my sound blaster card is being used in anothe PC elsewhere (I really do need to purchase another one) but this has never been a problem before. I've tried using a couple of other packages (Cool Edit and Goldwave) but the same thing occurs with them as well.
