Sorry, but I didn't know where to post this so I just started a new topic. I've been trouble with Acid 4.0. Whenever I try to record something, Acid plays it back a few microtones (it's not even a semi-tone, so i can't pitch shift it to match the rest of project) above what it should. Has anyone experienced similiar problems? If so, what did you do? Any assistance would be greatly valued. Thank you |

Read up on the three ways acid plays files: looped, beatmapped, and one-shot. You probably want your own recordings to play back as a one-shot. |

> You probably want your own recordings to play back as a one-shot. Which means: when you record the track, make sure the option "Make new track follow project tempo (Beatmapped track)" is turned OFF (i.e., not checked) This will make your recording a One Shot as DKeenum suggested. ~jr |

Not sure what's causing your problem as I've never heard of that happening before. Sounds like the recording is being time stretched rather than pitch shifted. Some material is not as conducive to time stretching, which might cause some weird, unnatural sounding artifacts. Definitely try what others have suggested. thanks, guys! I managed to get it working again, once I'd reinstalled the drivers for the audio interface I'm using. |
