I know we have Vegas etc, but you still have to go into SF to edit and splice.. What if SF was multitrack and you could d the usual SF things to individual multi-tracks?? That would be awesome!! just like Protools, maybe better? Unless Vegas adopts all SF's editing?!! either way would be great!!! |

Vegas already has all of SF's editing: simply right-click an audio event and "open in Sound Forge." Of course you have to own Sound Forge, but even the combo is still cheaper than Protools. I suspect that this arrangement is how things will remain, and that's fine. Not every Vegas user needs Forge's precise editing, and not every SF user needs Vegas' features. |

What editing and splicing do you have to do that can't be done in Vegas? |

That was the same question I had. Vegas is far superior than Sound Forge in Editing and splicing. If you're splicing audio together in Sound Forge, you've totally missed the boat of what Vegas is about. |

Hey -- If you have Vegas 5 and SF7, then you already have extensive multitracking features. In reality how many tracks could edit at the same time? That is why I think SF7, should be separate from Vegas, because how could manage all of the funtions of both programs in one interface. |
