For example, Windows XP requires 64 MB minimum, but that's very paltry. At least 128 is needed for good performance; 256 MB is even better. So the more you can afford, the better. RAM prices aren't that bad so you could find at least 512 for a good price. As a side note, I would suggest those looking to upgrade ACID in the future that you seriously consider also upgrading your OS if you're using Windows 98 or Me. SPD's apps like Sound Forge and Vegas are supported under XP/2000 only. I'd say it's pretty likely the next version of ACID Pro will head in that direction as well.
