What am I not getting here-- I want to delete a full 1 1/4 bars out of my project's tracks. (This would be appear as a vertical cut in Acid's timeline.) Then I want the right side to slide over & seamlessly attach to the left side. I'd like to do this without having to Select the tracks on the right & dragging them over. Ripple Cuts is supposed to do this, I believe. (See below, from Acid's Help File). But when I follow these instructions, it doesn't work at all. 1) I select RIPPLE, 2) set up my loop region, 3) select loop region 4) hit DELETE or CUT. All this does is delete what I've selected. If I omit #3, NOTHING happens, as nothing is highlighted/selected. ??? * ** * From the Options menu, choose Ripple Edits. Select the events you want to delete. If you want all to delete all events within a time selection, do not select any events and continue to step 3. Drag along the marker bar to make a time selection. All events, and/or portions of events within the region are highlighted. From the Edit menu, choose Delete. The events are removed from the track and the remaining events are moved on the track to fill the empty time space. |

You need to use the Time Selection Tool (it’s the one just to the left of the Get Media button) to make the selection. Then it works. The steps are: 1. Turn on ripple edits with Options > Ripple Edits (Ctrl+L) 2. Select the Time Slection Tool 3. Make your selection 4. Use Edit > Delete (or press Delete key) to perform the ripple edit ~jr |
