Subject:Extracting voice

Hi,
I have a audio file with voice and some background music to that voice. What I need to do is to extract the voice from the mp3/wav file so I can easily integrate that in a new video file that already has background music.
So basically, I need to get rid of background music from a mp3/wav file.
I have SoundForge, would this help?, can anyone give me some directions on how to achieve this

Thank you very much for your time

Sorry, Dave but this can not be done.

Click on FAQ and read question number six.

Sad to say but this is a common misconception people have.
I suppose it comes from watching too many programs like CSI where they
pull a burned and smoke damaged answering machine cassette from a crime site
and 20 minutes late have a pristine pro studio quality 4 track recording
that sounds more ready to mix than something that's been pulled from a fire.
It just doesn't happen.

Prepare yourself for the storm because it usually comes with this question.

You might also want to read THIS to find the humorous side of this question.
