Subject:Saved beatmapped info in Acid Pro 4

Where is beatmapped info saved. i.e, even if I uninstall and reinstall the program, if I select an mp3, say, to import, if I've run the beatmap wizard before, it won't run again - it remembers?

Where is this saved info - I'd like - in some cases - to delete it. Also, it makes it hard to truely do a fresh install with saved info on my comp.

A Beatmapped track is like any other ACIDized track. It has a chunk of info that only apps like ACID can read.

If you'd like to Beatmap the track again, there's a "Beatmapper Wizard" button on the Stretch tab underneath the track's properties.

If you'd like to have the track keep a "what you hear is what you get" type of property, change the track type to, "One-shot," on the General tab under the same properties. This is also an ACIDized form, but is the only ACIDized track type that is not time stretched by ACID.

Thanks.

What I'm asking is this - where does the program keep the info about the beatmapped track - if I uninstall the program and then re-install, it still has this info, i.e. the beatmap wizard won't come up again on a track I've previously beatmap wizarded - even after uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

Put another way, if I wanted to uninstall the program then reinstall fresh - how would I do so? Obviously the normal uninstall process is leaving stuff behind...

The Beatmapper files are saved within the audio files or the .sfk file. Which I'm not sure.

Practice making a new folder outside of C:\Program Files...\ACID for every project, and place all files related to that project inside. Then if you have to reinstall, your files can easily be retieved from folders that are not affected by system cofiguration changes.

A sure way to save time and improve performance is to keep your audio files and projects in their own folders on a seperate drive or partition.

Read the Owner's Manual for more detailed info.

I should've been a bit more clear. Since a Beatmapped track is like any other ACIDized track, there's a chunk of info that's saved with the audio file itself. It's embedded within the audio and not in ACID.

There's no real way to strip the ACIDized info from the audio file that I know of, other than to change the properties like I mentioned before.

I believe the SFK files are for drawing the waveform on your screen. (It's basically safe to delete them if they bother you, but ACID (or other apps like Sound Forge) will have to recreate them each time you open the file.)

Ah, so if i understand correctly, it's actually saved within the mp3?
