DVD Start goes directly to 2nd menu. My Intro is LOST!

I can't seem to figure this out. I just did a wedding video, made a DVD Start menu that has a PLAY ALL and a CHAPTER SELECTION button on it. Play all goes to the first chapter and plays through all 4 chapters in succession with no transitions or breaks, at the end of 4th chapter, it returns to the Start menu page. If chapter selection is chosen, it takes them to the 4 chapters AND on the same page they can navigate to play either the chapter itself or a submenu of that chapter broken up into 5 smaller chapters VIA link to a scene selection menu. The problem is this: I previewed the whole video in it's entirety and it has no flaws whatsoever, all links are perfect. Then I just spent 2 hours rendering this damn thing, the MAIN MENU is just gone and the video starts playing the first chapter, when that chapter is over with it goes to the chapter menu. All of the links on the chapter menu don't play what they are supposed to. Chapter 1 plays chapter 3, the BACK button plays chapter 1, the 4th chapter also plays chapter 1. I cannot navigate to the original start menu whatsoever. The links are all haywire, Irritating. Anybody else have similar problems? I have reopened the saved file and all the links work perfectly... Using DVD2a, four Mpg2 files =ing 4.5 gb. Using the prep and burn within DVD2a

This is the first we've heard of such a problem. What DVD player are using? Can you try with another DVD player or software DVD player? Same problem? I'd like to look at your project file (.dar). I'll send you an email offline.

I jumped the gun a little bit. The problem only shows up on my DVD Rom. It plays perfectly in 2 different DVD players at home here. Only problems are slight delay when switching menus using the remote, and appears to lose a little (couple seconds of video) at beginning and end of some of the video clips. My DVD rom is an AOPEN 16x DVD Rom, probably only 2 years old, and I am using Power DVD 5

hey guys, sorry to jump in to the conversation with a question, but i'm trying to do the same thing as the jentlemen who started the thread did. i have a few music videos that i have rendered as mpeg-2 files, complete with chapters. i need to create a menu with scene selections, and a play all button that will link each video to the next, and return back to the main menu at the end of the last video. and in the scene selection, i want a button to represent each video that i have added. i have spent the past two days trying to figure it out, by reading the manual, but the manual is a little complicated. can you please explain to me what the jentlemen who started the thread did, to acomplish this?
thanks!!

Sounds somewhat similar to a problem I'm having. Menus and remote navigation buttons are not working correctly in projects that I've created in DVDA2.0 when I try to play them in my RCA DRC220N set top player.

On one project that I created, the DVD will start up to the main menu, but no matter which selection I pick the player goes to the -player menu- (by player menu I mean the RCA player system menu, this is a menu that allows you to select play, or define various playback settings, it is not the DVD menu from the disk); upon resuming(pressing play or menu button) the DVD always goes to the same title, in my case a slide show. Once it's in the slideshow I cannot get out. The menu button will not work, the stop button takes me back to the -player menu-. Upon resume goes into the same loop described above.

I've tried downloading the test project from the sony site, when I burn that and try that in the RCA player the "first play" will play, but at the end of the 1st first play the player goes immediately to the -player menu-. Upon resuming(either pressing play or pressing menu) it will replay the "1st first play" and then come back to the -player menu-. No matter what I do it remains stuck in this loop.

All of the DVDA 2.0 projects above that I created work perfectly on WinDVD on my PC, on another GE DVD player that I have, on a Sony Player belonging to a friend of mine, and on several DVD players at the local Wal-Mart.(as you can see I've done my research).

Interestingly, when I burn a project in DVDA1.0, it works fine in the RCA player. But, when I took that project, opened it in DVDA2.0a and burned it(without making any changes)the project would not play correctly in the RCA player. The DVD will start up to the main menu, but no matter which selection I pick the player goes to the -player menu- upon resuming the DVD always goes to the same title. Once it's in the media I cannot get out. The menu button will not work, the stop button takes me back to the -player menu-. Upon resume goes into the same loop.

I've created DVDs in other programs(Roxio DVD Builder, Ulead DVD Movie Factory, and also DVDA V1.0. These DVDs all work fine in the RCA player, so it seems like possibly the RCA player is not correctly reading the Remote button and/or end action commands that DVDA 2.0 uses.

Sounds like the way you have your project set up you are probably also making use of the end actions and remote button assignments. Maybe related problems? Unfortunately I have not found a solution to mine yet.
