Ok Maybe this may seem stupid but I got a problem. I have a vs 880 which I use with acid 4.0. I sync the tracks together. However there is a problem. I record my audio on my vs 880 and I sample and make beats on acid on my pc. When I am done with a song and satisfied I go ahead and try to record the tracks on acid however there is a major problem!!!! Most programs when you sync tracks you can press record on the software then press play on the vs 880 and keyboards and the computer will record everything in sync, however in acid this does not seem to be the case!!!! Is there a way to record my audio tracks while keeping everything in sync? Is there and option that I am missing in acid? I need to press record then have it record my audio tracks when I press play on my vs-880 and key board.
thanx for any help!!!

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but if what you want is to record the audio from acid and your vs800, make sure that the line-in where your device is connected is not muted in your soundcard's record audio mixer. If you are using SB Live, set it to "All you hear".

I hope I understand your problem correctly and the solution above helps.

Good Luck!

Are the 880 and the computer synced together? MIDI time code? Which one is the master?

nope, maybe I can expalin this better Most standard recording software and most recording utilities record when you have everything in sync, you know one is master and one is slave. Most software when you sync with other equipment will record when you press the record button, it will then wait for the master signal to start playing before it starts recording that way the recorded audio is in sync with everything. I cannot seem to accomplish this in acid though. I can sync just fine, keyboards and mixers play back fine together. however when I want to record my prerecorded audio from my vs 880 or keyboard to acid I cannot, When I press record the monitor screen comes up and there is no way for it to sync with an incoming signal, that is why I am asking if there is an option I am missing because it doesnt make any sense that every cheap software out there can do this but expense acid 4.0 cant. thanx for your patience!!! I hope I explained better this time, I have a hard time.

That’s because ACID can only be the Master and not the Slave. What you have to do is make ACID the Master. Then press play on the VS-880 and it should wait for the master signal before it starts playing. Then press record in ACID and the VS-880 should start playing and ACID should start recording. You can use MIDI Timecode or MIDI Clock to sync them. MIDI Clock has the advantage of sending tempo change information if you need that.
