hi... ive got a problem with my Acid... i recently reinstalled it because of computer problems. well... now, when i open up loops (ones iv jus made n even previous ones which worked fine before) and spread them across a track they have a little pause at the end of each segment of the loop. so if a loop was supose to sound like "hit hit hit hit hit hit hit hit " it would sound like "hit hit hit hit- hit hit hit hit-" etc... any1 know why this is? does any1 know why this is? |

i've had a similar problem... i use GoldWave to record samples on me pc - and for some reason one day it decided to save the loops i'd recorded as mp3's instead of wav. files - i found that when i opened these in acid they had the tiniest bits of silence at the end of each loop which caused the loop to sound poorly clipped... not sure why your older files are doing this though?? |

The silence is part of the mp3 format. I only use wavs and the Sony format (.pca). bigfOOt, what format are you using? |

All mp3s have silence at the beginning and at the end. |

As others have mentioned, the bit of silence at the beginning and end of an MP3 is inherent to the format. Even just a bit of silence can throw your loop off. If you're concerned about space, try using Sony's own proprietary PCA format. It probably won't consume less space than an MP3, but it should consume less space than a WAV, plus it's lossless but compressed.
