Subject:recording - am i really dumb?

i'm having problems when recording a new track - i have a drum loop on one track and i'm recording a new track with scratching on - however when i play back the scratching track on solo i can hear the drum loop...

i cant seem to record new tracks without having whatever else is being played recorded onto the new track?!?!

from my line out i have my headphones and in my line in i have my mixer/decks

i know there's problee a simple answer to this problem but i'm going crazy!!!

Check your mixer and make sure you're recording from the correct input.

If you're using a creative card, do a search of the forum and you'll find some info.
