How do I make sure "ASIO device" is set to "ASIO DirectX Full Duplex Driver"?

What soundcard do you have? It's all dependent on its drivers.

ON EDIT: You have an Audigy 2?

Try going to the Audio tab under Options>Preferences and click the Advanced button and then the Configure button. (Be sure you have the ASIO driver model selected first.)
