Look man, this post happens about once a week. It gets really old. Click on search and type in "remove vocals" and you'll find more info. Anyone who has any experience with audio knows you can't effectively do this. You have to find the a capella. -b |

Hey folks, maybe he's new to this site--it happens! Anyway, Ill-Eagle, it can't be done, at least not very well. The only exception is certain old recordings (when stereo was a new concept) where the vocals are panned 100% to one side, and the music on the other. That's pretty rare, though. Otherwise, you need to get your hands on the acappella. I've been able to isolate short vocal phrases with filtering and gating (manual--not automatic), that will sort-of work okay in a mix. But otherwise, it's the acappella or nothing. Peace. |
