When I record a track, let's say it's 20 seconds in length, after recording, it only shows up as a 10 seconf clip. The enter clip is there, but plays back a twice the speed, so somehow it's getting compressed to half it's length. What's wrong? Thank:)

It sounds like its playing back as a loop or beatmapp. It needs to be a one shot.

Also check your sampling rate.

How do I fix the loop problem, or sample rate?

Look at track properties (view>track properties) for loop types.

My Audigy's supports only 48K sampling rate. I set Acid (file>properties) rate to 96khz and experienced some weirdness. It's worth checking.

I actually had to set the rate at 44K and at 16bit, and now it records fine. But I would like to record at 48K at 24bitz:( which doesn't seem to work. It makes the track run at double the speed.

You can only use what your soundcard can support. I have an Audigy 2 and it only supports 48/16 and 96/24. It doesn’t allow 48/24 or 44/anything. So you need to stick with whatever your soundcard is capable of or buy another soundcard that supports 44/24 if that’s what you want to use.
