I am using creatives audio prodigy, with audio inputs on the front of my computer. I can hear the sounds from my keyboards, but acid, nor vegas records them, not is there anything on the meters. What am I doing wrong? Thanks:)

Double-click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen to open up the sound card's mixer control panel. Click Options / Properties / Recording / OK. This will let you select and set volumes for the recording inputs, which are separate from the monitoring/playback inputs that you've been hearing.

Chienworks, thank you, it works!! But now I have a different problem:( When I record a sound, lets say it's 10 seconds long, it shows up on the time line as 5 seconds and play twice the speed. What do I need to do to fix that? Thank:)

Recording and playing back at the right sample rate across the board? (Try 48 kHz.)
