I had a pair of troubles with Acid. Mostly when I'm using VSTs.
That code has it 's own soul. If he likes you and likes your music, he just goes fine. Untill you play in a B minor key. Or some country style stuff.

Acid rocks.

Actually, I read somewhere that the reason that Propellerhead Reason doesn’t support VSTi’s is because they wanted their software to be more stable. Anytime you use a 3rd party plug-in, you have now compromised your stability because the plug-in developer may not have stable code and that makes the whole system unstable. I use VSTi’s all the time and have no problems but I mainly use VSTi’s from companies like Native Instruments and Arturia who produce relatively stable code themselves.

I have a version of Live that crashes every time I say acid. (sorry)

Some vstis, especially some synthedit vstis, will crash acid. All the major ones, even free ones, seem to do just fine. Can you nail down exactly what causes acid to crash?
