playback/position memory features

The DVD I just created works great, menus and all. When I play it in one of my players the clock shows the time as it passes, but it doesn't in my "better" player. Any thoughts as to why?

Also, my better player has a position memory function you can activate from the remote. Press button, player marks that point, turn off, turn on & it goes back to the marked point. That is not working with the dvd that I made using DVDA 1. What do I need to do to make this function available on my DVD's.

No idea on the first question. Sounds familiar -- search the archives.

Regarding the second, does this feature work with other burned DVDs or just with commercial ones?

? #1 - thanks in advance for looking
? #2 - I'll check in a little bit and get back asap - I probably just didn't notice it not working before.

It doesn't work on any of my "homemade" DVD's. That's a real bummer. Please let me know what you find out Rob.

Thanks

#1) The LAST version of DVDA1 had a preference option that turned the display on and off. However, that was a side effect and the option is labeled differently. DVDA2 should properly show on your display.

#2) I would also test with one made with DVDA2 - it may also be something that has already been resolved.

Where is that option in DVDA1? I don't have DVDA2 so I can't compare it. I'm sure mine is an older version, so this may not even be an option.
