Subject:T-RackS Won't Load In SF7 Plugin Chainer

Has anyone had any trouble getting the T-RackS plugins to load in SF7 or any of the other Sony Apps? The T-RackS plugins show up in the Third Party plugins menu, but produce an error message when selected. The error message is brief and only says that the plugins fail to load.

Thanks,
Greg

Cracked plugins will do that.If they are legit they should work.Try a repair installation of T-Racks

McHappy,

Well, they aren't cracked. SInce I posted my question here, I have been corresponding with IK Multimedia on this issue. There is definitely a problem with the DX version of T-rackS and Sony apps right now. They expect it to be fixed within the next couple of months. FWIW, the RTAS version works as it should.

You should really think twice before you assume someone is using cracked plugs. Do you have T-rackS DX working with any of the Sony apps? If you do I suggest you get in contact with IK Multimedia because they told me there is a problem with T-rackS and all of the Sony apps. I would surely appreciate any help you could give them in fixing this problem. Believe me, it is not as trivial as reloading T-rackS DX.

Thanks,
Greg

I am pretty sure, that Sony / Sonic Foundry recommends running T Racks in Stand Alone mode, since there is a known issue. I am kinda sure I read about this some time last year.

kbruff,

You are correct - you are expert on this question. This is exactly what IK Multimedia recommends to use until they get their DX plugs straightened out. The "Stand Alone" mode is actually another application seperate from the plug ins. It is a bit unfortunate that IK doesn't really address this on their web site. On the other hand, they have promised not to "leave me stranded" on this one.

Thanks, for your input.
Greg

Forgive my ignorance: but it seems to me that IK Media and Universal Audio apps both have issues with Sound Forge Family. Well thats why I have chosen Izotope as my DX Mastering Tool. Of Course it will never replace SF itself, but it runs nicely and the results are intoxicating.

I have tried T Racks in Stand Alone mode, and it is a cool application, I just dont like having three extra clicks to get back into SF7 with the processed data.
