Please help.. i can't figure this out. I'mt trying to record over the drum loop in the background. I record the whole song on guitar and, Im 100% sure I'm not out of tempo. For the first few seconds the tracks are completely in sync but by y the end of the song the recording and the loops are off by 2 beats or so. Why is this happening and is there a way I can fix it? I noticed that I have the same problem using software from cakewalk as well, which Im assuming means its something aside from just the software... but I have pretty good stuff. Using a 1 year old dell laptop and an external soundblaster audigy 2. Any ideas? I used the search function btw... and it seems the best solution people came up with was to buy a new soundcard... has anyone solved this without spending more money? |

Something weird is going on. Something weird and something very simple . Is it possible to take a look at your "acd" file? |

When you press the record button, on the record dialog, do you have "Make new track follow project tempo (Beatmapped track)" checked? (It is checked by default). If so, uncheck it. I believe this makes ACID time-stretch your recording (which you don’t want). I can't imagine why you would have this problem in Cakewalk too. Very strange. ~jr |

Thanks guys... actually, I figured it out... It was an issue with sample rate. I guess the audigy is set up to record at 48kHz instead of 44 for some reason... if anyone else has had this problem it might be something to check. Now it works fine except for some minor latency issues that Im going to try to work out today. Thanks for your input. |
