I have a piece of SW made by Prosoniq called Morph, which I believe is a VST instrument, but it does not appear in the list of pluggins. I was advised it may be a direct X instead, but it does not appear under FX either. 01) Does anyone have any idea? 02) Do you know which folder direct X pluggins should be placed? 03) The manual refers to it as a VST? Any advice will be most appreciated. Monki. |

I just checked their website and it is a VST. Seems weird to me that you'd purchase software costing hundreds of dollars, and not know what exactly it is. Usually, people with cracked versions ask these types of questions, but anyways... If it's installed in the same directory as the other VSTi's, it should have detected it automatically. Have you rebooted your PC since install? It shouldn't matter, but at this point... What I did was create a folder PROGRAM FILES/VST. All my downloaded synths are installed in this directory. Acid saw them right away. Mario |

Thanks for the info. This is the demo version from their web site and not a full version, would this affect it appearing in something like acid? |

This may be asking a lot, but below is the link to the demo down load, if anyone has broadband and a few minutes to spare, would you mind downloading Morph and seeing if it appear in your VST list. It's just over a MB. http://www.prosoniq.com/html/demos.html Thanks if you can help and if you can't any advice is welcome. Cheers, Monki. |

I just downloaded it, and installed it in the same folder as my other VSTi's. It wasn't detected. Send Prosoniq an e-mail to see if it's a known issue. Mario |

Morph is not a VSTi but a VST effect, so ACID won't recognise. ACID currently only supports DirectX effects. To use it in ACID you'll need a VST > DirectX wrapper. Ben |

"To use it in ACID you'll need a VST > DirectX wrapper" How are these created, is it straight forward? If you have time, I'd be very great full if you could explain. Thanks again. Monki |

SpinAudio has a lite version of their VST-DX Wrapper that you can download for free. You’ll find it (and a lot of other great DirectX resources) on DirectXFiles.com. It works great with ACID 4. ~jr |
