Can anyone give a newbie a couple tips on how to make Acid NOT sound like porno music?

Turn the volume on your TV down!

There are thousands of loops available. You can mangle all of them hundreds of different ways, and all you get is a porno sound no matter what you do?
I think the porno obsession isn't in Acid.

+Mario ahs a good point -- if all u listen to is porn music, then everything sounds like porn music to you?

here is my $.02 tip: whatever you come up with in Acid, tweak it and wrench on it until you come up with something that has the same level of emotion of Dark Side of the Moon! It can be done. It's all about contrast, emotion, drama, motion, impulse, 'breaking out of the box', etc.

I thought that was a term only we used!
The music that I've heard none of the sounds support each other.
if you soloed each sound they would have the best drums,
best bass
best pads
best leads
best guitar
best bla-bla-bla
And none of the sounds would work well as a song.

In all seriousness, most of my work has been described as, "twisted." I guess it all depends on how ACID is used. (It can be used to create a fantastic soundbed of audio, not just music, for example.)

I think his problem is that he always starts off his projects with a slow beat, which incrementally gets faster, ends abruptly, and finishes off with a "Snore.wav" loop.
