Hi, a little OT but I need advice. I've been using Mitsui Gold for the last 7 years as factory Master CDs with a near zero failure rate. These are no longer available in my territory so I'm wondering what folk are using. Many thanks |

Taiyo Yunden. C1 error rates are running around .5 (Redbook limit is 200). Of course much of this also has to do with the Plextor Premium burner I'm using. Actually I've never gotten more than 4.5 C1 errors on consumer level Maxell, Sony and TDK media so this burner really is great. drbam |

It appears I can't get Taiyo Yunden here either. Any other suggestions? Thanks |

I buy them online. I don't use anything else. Try here: http://www.cdrplanet.com/cd-r-media--taiyo-yuden-cd-r-media.html You can also get them many other places on the net ..spalding |

These days there is no such things as 'around here'. Everything is available anywhere, usually within a day of two, if you have an address and a card. geoff |

Geoff, I do know this!! Are you able to get either of these brands here?* If not what are you using? I don't want to get into the CDR import game (GST, customs). *S&V for example. |

If you're talking GST I guess you're in Australia. I use Gold Audio Masters from www.prodisc.com.au Max burn speed is 10x. Alternatively the platinum or gold archival media burns beautifully at 20x. All of these burn extremely well in my Plexwriter. Bob. |

Bob I am, in fact, from the land which gave you GST (and keeps you honest on the sports field). Say thank you! And I'll thank you for the tip. I'm looking at the site right now. Cheers Weka |
