I have a singer who is really into hearing reverb in his headphones while he tracks into ACID 4? is this possible? Or must you track with a "dry" monitor sound? |

Unfortunately, ACID does not monitor with FX. Vegas 5 does if you have that. ~jr |

John is right. Adding to what he said, it's suggested to use ASIO drivers for their low latency in Vegas if you expect to use its input monitoring feature. Even then, it still sucks a lot of resources that could be used for other things. Some external effects units let you monitor wet while recording dry. Might want to look into this. This is the one area of computer recording that still hasn't arrived. Are there sound cards with this feature: effects sends and returns? Please don't answer pro tools. |

The easiest, cheapest and in my view, certainly the best way to do this is to use hardware. Get a small mixer (Behringer and similar gear works fine for this) and an efx processor. You could get both on ebay for under $100. drbam |
