Are you sure you have the correct MIDI input selected under Record device:? Some cards have multiple inputs so be sure it’s the one you have your MIDI keyboard pluged into. Do you see a signal in the Monitor meters when you play the keyboard? Do you have the playback device on the MIDI track set to the same device you used to record? ~jr |

What are you trying to record? MIDI or digital audio? Can we have a little more info as to what you have for a setup? Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

Probably audio. I wrongly assumed MIDI because I do mostly MIDI recording. (my bad). In that case, are you sure your Record device is set to the same input that you are trying to audio record from. The process is the same either way (MIDI or Audio). Empty wave files usually indicate that ACID is not set to record from the same device you think you are using for input. ~jr |

ACID always records your digital audio takes as WAV. When you record, does your recording meter move? (Be sure the "monitor" option is checked.) If the meter does move, how high does the meter go in decibels? is the take represented with a waveform? Is the master bus set to the appropriate playback device?
