When converting a WAV file with metadata attached to an AIFF file, I need for my audio files to transfer information correctly, with the original metadata from the WAV file to also appear in the AIFF format. Idealy, I would like to be able to throw multiple WAV files into batch convertor and save them as AIFF, with all pertinent metadata attached and displayed correctly. How can this be done?

Thanks

Hmm, last time I checked, .AIFF doesn't have the metadata storage the WAV header does. You can cram a lot into a .WAV header and, in theory, it'll play fine in everything b/c where the headers aren't supported it'll skip it and just play, but YMMV. Some older stuff dies a horrible death when hit with metadata, too, so be careful. AIFF doesn't have that capability, if I recall, and SF doesn't support it if it does.

Ahh, AIFF, 80 bit floating point....
