when I record midi from my keyboard it records late even though my buffering sittings is 5ms. Please tell me what should I do to make my recording on time? |

Are you using ASIO drivers? That's the only way to get true low latency. You can set the buffers pretty low in the Microsoft Sound Mapper but there is still going to be a delay. (at least that's my experience from my desktop which does have ASIO to my laptop which doesn't) ~jr |

Oh yea, we already went through this in the late recording thread. If you selected the ASIO 24 drivers and adjusted the latency down to 5 ms and you still have latency I can’t imagine what’s wrong. Perhaps someone else here has this device or you could call TASCAM and ask them because it is related to their device and not ACID. Sorry I can't be more help. ~jr |

I don't think this will help much, but see if the Tascam is sharing its USB with any other device on your system. If, for example, there are two USB devices sharing the same bus, that also means bandwidth suffers. Typically, each USB controller has two USB ports. If you have more than two ports (and therefore more than one controller), try to isolate the Tascam on its own controller.
