Subject:Has anyone tried this?

I have been making some music video DVD compilations by ripping videos directly from the DVD-rom using DVD Decrypter. After de-muxing the video and the audio files, i would load the audio track into Sound Forge 7, edit it then mux or re-attach it back to the video. This was working pretty well until i came across some finished files that were out of sync'.
Then the other day i tried ripping the video as a stream - together with the audio, unseparated. I then loaded this VOB file straight into Sound Forge 7 and to my suprise it opened up. The Video was displayed at the top while the 2 left and right audio tracks were at the bottom. I then just edited the volume of the audio track...higher or lower, whatever i wanted. Then i clicked on file and "saved as" a MainConcept M-PEG 2 file using the DVD Pal template.
This conversion took about 10-12 minutes. Dead simple...no de-mux or mux or sync' problems to deal with.
I was able to edit the Audio while it was still attached to the video.Very simple indeed. I just repeated this procedure and loaded all the finished Videos into Tmpg Enc DVD Author, made some menus and burnt the DVD. Picture and sound quality were excellent. Sound Forge 7 is really an excellent piece of software.
Has anyone else been doing this?
