There's a ton of high end processors. What will benefit Acid the greatest, clock speed? 64 BIT? Cache?

To get 128 4 minute stereo tracks out of ACID, I use a pair of P3 1GHz + 2GB SDRAM.

Its not just the proc, its allso the amout of memory in your rig.

i must add that XP does NOT support dual processors......yet. it cant utilize the power yet of 2 processors, as XP is only 32bit.

its all about the memory. i suggest at LEAST 1gig of 2100 or 3200 Ram....whatever your motherboard supports.

Windows XP Professional has dual CPU support. Windows XP Home does not.

Adding to that, the app used must also have dual CPU support built into it, like ACID Pro and Vegas do.
