Forum Members= very Generous

While I have been involved in the "moving Image arts" since Regular 8mm, Super 8mm, VHS, Hi-8, and now DV - the learning curve has been fairly steep for me at each level. I have gotten useful information from a number of forums like this one, BUT, never have I seen one where the members were so generous. We Newbies' have questions that are tolerated so well. In fact, I would have to say we are encouraged. I have been on numerous forums in which beginners questions are ignored or even accused of being lazy.
While sometimes true, homework and research will sometimes provide the answer, it is still great to have so many mentors and helpers.
I just hope someday I can be more "giver" than "taker" of forum knowledge

THANK YOU to all who have helped with questions that I am sure sounded so elementary. You make this forum FLY !

I must admit that this is one of the few forums that is actually a community of friends where new friends are always welcome. Maybe that’s why we all hang out here. It’s good to be among friends. ;-)

I owe a lot of what I know about Vegas Video to this forum. Been reading a couple years now and really don't go to other forums. My favorite part is when you ask how to do something, you get an answer but sometimes followed by a "Oh and you might wanna try this cool feature as well."

Great forum.

I'd also like to thank the forum--I got Vegas for the surround sound aspect and didn't use it. Just like the way it edits. And this group has me reading posts every day.

Thanks all.

I agree completely. Got Vegas just over a year ago to replace another editing system (which shall remain nameless). Both the ease of use and this forum sealed the deal for me.
Thanks to all.

I spent a month going through the old posts. The info I found there was the factor that convinced me to spring for the V3LE to V5 upgrade. Compared to PC forums I'm familiar with the tone is definitely warmer, the information more complete, and usually quicker in coming. It's been a BIG learning tool for me.
