I've got a project with a time signature 3/4. However, the chopper is still displaying 4 beats per measure instead of 3... Is that a bug ? Or am I missing something ? |

The Chopper ruler is always mapped to the loop. So if you open a loop that is 4 beats the chopper will show 4 beats. If you add a loop that is 3 beats, the chopper will show 3 beats. Likewise if you open a loop that is 8 beats in the chopper it will display 8 beats. i.e., it always shows one event loop worth of data. I believe the time signatures only affects the ruler and the grid. I can’t even get ACID to make a MIDI file loop in 3/4 time. It defaults to looping at the 4th beat. I would call this a design deficiency rather than a bug as the documentation states that time signature only affects the ruler and the grid. It's up to you to use audio loops with 3 beats per measure. ~jr |
