Subject:Extracting from Audio CD

I have SF7. However it refuses to recognise my cdrom drives. I have checked with the knowledge base which advises me that I must check whether the drivers and firmware are up to date adn so far as I can determine this is the case. My system is XP Pro and I am logged on as an account with administrator privileges.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I am presuming that Windows sees the drives, just not SF7. Are you running the latest version of SF7?

I know you said you think the firmware is up to date, but have you actually found out what version firmware is on your cdrom? This isn't the sort of thing a home user would expect to have to do nowadays, check the manufacturer's website to see if there is an updated firmware available and firmware updater program for the device. If the device doesn't announce its capabilities correctly to Windows, this may well be the problem. You may need to do it in DOS mode. I'd check to see if there's a specific driver for the device first.

BFB.
