If the source is stereo, YES! (Ex: from two microphones, a stereo synth or other stereo source) If the source is mono, No....... but.... (Ex.: from a guitar amp mic'd with a single mic) Recording the fore mentioned guitar amp example to two tracks ( in stereo mode) would still be mono... However, the file would be twice the size as it needs to be. Ex. 1 minute 44.1/16 MONO .wav file- 5mb Ex. 1 minute 44.1/16 STEREO .wav file- 10mb
