does anyone have any tips for using acapellas in acid 4? ive got my own tracks made and want to add acapellas but when i beatmap the track it never seems to fit - is there a sure fire way of making the acapella fit in tempo that doesn't involve cutting and pasting every couple of bars??!

help much appreciated!

Nope. The only sure fire way is to sing the acapella’s to a click track to start with. You simply can’t beatmap to something that doesn’t follow a steady beat. One option might be to use Sound Forge to split the file into one measure increments and add the ACID tempo information to them in SF. Then they should drop on the ACID timeline in sequence and sync up. If the singing carries over from one measure to the next and they don’t stay on tempo, you may have to timestretch the loops while keeping constant pitch to get them to sync up. You could do it all in ACID using the Chopper but it might be easier to correct in Sound Forge.

Depending on the tempo, you may have to edit a lot more than every 2 bars.
