ACID saves your MIDI files exactly where you tell it to. Each time you create a MIDI file it prompts you for where to place it. It may not default to where you want, but it does give you the opportunity to change it. Then all other MIDI tracks that you create will default to that new location. When you save your project it also prompts you for where to save it. So you can easily save these in the same place. What I do is make a separate directory for each song and I save both my project and MIDI files in that directory. Alternately when you save you project you can check Copy all media with project and it will save a copy of everything in the project directory. The files will still exist where you originally saved them so only a copy gets placed in the project directory. You might decide to record all MIDI files to a temporary directory and then save your project copying the media and then empty out the temporary directory when you’re done. This is a good way to only keep the takes you used. ~jr |
