Subject:Acid's MP3 has no template

It's really weird here that everytime I try to render as mp3, no template shows up and off course I can't force it since it gives me an err msg "There is no template available for this format. The selected media may not support it. Try again?

I have no problem with my Sound Forge 7.0 and I just registered the mp3 encoder too, haven't tried my Vegas 5 yet since I haven't started doing any project with it.

I also notice the same thing when I tried to render as ac3 or mpg (from ACID). Any clue what could be the problem? Do I have to copy certain files to ACID directory?

Hmm. Did you try using Sound Forge 7.0's migration utilities? (Located under Start>All Programs>Sony>Utilities. Use the "Copy Sonic Foundry Plug-In Licenses from Installed Sony Plug-Ins" utility.)

Yes, I ran every single one of them... is it because I forced the ACID to install on Sony directory instead of Sonic Foundry?

Never mind... I re-installed the whole thing and it works just fine now. Weird!

Thanks for your help though.

Ah, cool.

I just saw your other post and was going to mention to not install ACID into the same Sony directory as Sound Forge 7.0. Let it install into a Sonic Foundry folder for now.
