I think the ease of this process is dependent on how organized you were with your projects. If I ever wanted to combine a bunch of projects I know where all of my media is...nicely organized. As for cut and paste, other users can probably direct you better as I'm not sure if there exists such a function. Vegas files have lots of events and it seems to me it would be a little clunky trying to copy/paste all of that stuff. Just thoughts...

just open two copies of vegas and copy and paste between them

yeah really...duh. Sometimes I forget that Vegas will let you open multiple instances. A truely good feature...thanks pipeline.

We used to argue back and forth that it would be nice to have templates we could switch between. Peter explained why it would not be such a good idea once you thought about it.

Opening multiple instances, you can clear out all the events and store one as a sort of template. If you recorded a bunch of songs with the same drums, mics, settings etc, dropping them into these "template" files can save you a ton of time, and still get away from Vegas' edit limit.
