CAN I IMPORT REASON FILES INTO ACID? IF SO THEN HOW CAN I DO SO?

If you're not going to use rewire, then you'll need to render your reasob sequeces to wav files and then play them in acid. BTW, you may need Sound Forge to do a little editing.

Adding to what DKeenum mentioned, if you ReWire ACID Pro and Reason together, you should be able to render any mixer channels used for Reason (provided you solo them) as a digital audio track into ACID Pro.

For more info, check out this support document from Propellerhead.

thanks very much I didnt' know i could use rewire with acid, which is dope. I'd bought pro tools 6.1 and knew rewired worked w/ reason and pro tools, but didn't know that rewire could work with acid & reason 2.5. So since I have pro tools and that has rewire. I should be able to use rewire between the two, or do I need to download it?

When ACID Pro 4.0 was first released, it actually didn't have ReWire; it didn't come along until a later update.

ReWire is built into ACID, so there's no need to download anything. Make sure ACID Pro 4.0 sees Reason. You can check this by going to the ReWire Devices tab under Options>Preferences on the the menu bar.
