Just wanted to say...
Acid is so flexable that with a little time and experimentation I have been able to simulate or replicate almost any technique from the analog world you could imagine. A4, SF, a few plugins and a creative mind is all you need.
I get tired of reading the posts of thiose that want everything layed out on a plate for them or a one click solution for their creativity.
If my .02 cents was GAS....It would be worth A BUCK FIFTY..

I've been thinking the same way. In the last two weeks I've discovered some "new" things that acid can do, and I'm in love all over again. Sometimes, even the limitations spart creativity. Acid already does what I need.

I just discovered the bus track function of mixing diffetrent amounts of different buses onto each track, so I heartily agree. And I'm still using 3.0g (4 just isn't stable enoguh for me).

I'm betting on Summer Namm for AP5 ? Assuming that it'll be stable (and I'm going to plunge straight in again!), then it'll be a big functionality step up for me.

Can't wait to see the "super-chopper" ;-)

4.0 is stable for me.

Now I will admit that I reach for 3.0 many times, because I have a 1.2 gHz processor and 3.0 seems to run a little faster. It may be that it's the version that I know. But it almost always ends up in 4.0 before I'm done. And 4.0 is stable.
