I’m just making sure I’m not missing anything obvious here. I know ACID doesn’t have a metronome. No problem, I can just drop a drum loop and follow that. (of course if I were actually trying to play the initial drum track that might be a problem) ;-) Now I want to record some MIDI, but there is no way to pre-roll and get a count-in. I thought I could make the loop region like in Vegas and start the playing from before that, but ACID doesn’t seem to work that way. That means the first measure of every recorded track is blank while I wait to synchronize my playing to the drum beat. So I wind up editing each and every MIDI track that I record because if this. This seems very tedious. Am I doing this correctly? Am I missing something? Is anyone from Sony listening for new requirements for ACID 5? (i.e., metronome and pre-roll before recording?) ~jr |

I've had the same problem, and now that you mention it, some kind of pre-roll would be nice. But, you know, we always figure or work-a-rounds. |
