Hi I need to remove wind noise from 'outdoor' video recordings. Is this possble with SoundForge Studio 6. If so, how do I go about it? TIA John |

SF6 doesn't come with Noise Reduction, which costs another arm and leg. (Lucky we have two.) IF you have NR, and IF you can find a place on the track with JUST wind noise, you can tell SF to memorize that digital signal and then remove it from the rest of the track. Sounds easy, and that IS the procedure, but it requires tweaking. |

Woops---just noticed you have the Studio version. I used to have this, too, but can't remember clearly: help me, somebody. Does Noise Reduction even work with SF Studio? |

Sound Forge Studio doesn't allow DX plugin support. Also, due to the nature of wind changing pitch and amplitude, this probably isn't a good application for wind, but might be worth trying. See Chienworks reply in the Vegas forum, to the same post. This is good advice also. http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=285775&Replies=2&Page=0 |
