Ok, so I own Acid and Sound Forge. When I had Acid 3, I'd easily go to edit a loop and it would open SF automatically, and try to pass parameters of some sort (like timing info) into SF for seamless editing. Only problem was, it crashed on my quite frequently. I eventually got Acid4, and upgraded to SF (7? I think) too, but now I don't seem to see the same navigational means of envoking SF from within Acid. I thought I'd first have to edit a wave in the Chopper and THEN right click an choose to edit in SF, but that option is no longer available. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? SF is installed properly, so why can't I get over to it from within Acid? Also, one other question: One gripe I have of SF is that if I want to copy a portion of a wave and paste it somewhere esle, it doesn't create a new "layer" of what's pasted to enable me to drag it around. When I'd used Cakewalk 9's built in audio editing, I could do that, and I got spoiled. Does anyone know how to do that in SF? |

Check the Editing tab under Options>Preferences on ACID Pro's menu bar. Ensure that ACID is "seeing" the Sound Forge executable there. I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Do you just want to take the selection and copy it somewhere else for use later? Try dragging it onto Sound Forge's workspace.
