DVDA2 and HP DVD200i

I'm getting an error burning to an HP DVD200i with firmware 1.72. The following message occurs during the first phase of burning:

I can burn with other software, so I know the drive is good. This used to work with DVDA1.

Can I get some details please . . .

What OS are you using?
System specs?
Did you update the HP firmware recently, or did you buy it with 1.72?
What type of media are you burning to? (+R or +RW for that particular drive)

I have this drive in-house and will give it a spin today.

I've included a systeminfo dump at the bottom of this reply.

The HP DVD 200i was on firmware 1.65 when I discovered this problem with DVDA2, then I happened to see HP's site with version 1.72. I upgraded the firmware hoping it would resolve the problem. Therefore, I've see this error with both firmware versions. I'm trying to burn to Ritek DVD+R DVDs.

I am able to have DVDA2 create the DVD folder structure, but not burn because of the error. However, I can use freeware programs, DVD Decrypter and DVD Imgtool, to read the DVDA2 folder structure and burn DVDs without a problem.

So I believe the burner is functioning correctly.

By the way, I was able to burn a project using the HP DVD200i with a DVD+RW with no error. I'll try more tests using the DVR+R format.
