When I go to burn a CD in SF7:
How do I get all the tracks lined up ( on the same file) so I can set the spacing between songs to burn?
All I get is the 11 songs on different windows.
I know I'm missing something obvious here.
Thanks
Gary

Burn each song one at a time in the order you you want them. There will be an extra two second gap inserted between each. Close the disc when you are finished.

If you want no gaps at all, copy & paste all the songs into a single file. You will also end up with only one single track for the entire CD.

If you want to set your own gap sizes (or have no gaps) and still have tracks, then you'll have to use some other software that supports Disc At Once (DAO) burning. Vegas, CD-Architect, Nero, and EZ CD Creator are some programs that can do this as well as many others. Sound Forge can't.

I use Nero to burn my CD's. Roxio, which comes standard with many CD's is a simple program which handels many of the tasks the average person requires to burn their CD's. It is nowhere near as flexible as Nero and once you've become accustomed to using Nero, you'll never return to Roxio. My suggestion concerning either pieces of software though is, if you're going to be using DAO to burn your CD's (and using Disc At Once allows you to burn a cd which can have some cuts with a little as no space between then to as much time between cuts as you wish to add. Default is 2 seconds) do not save meta data (it's a default setting in SF6. Track at once will work, but it will get rid of any Meta data anyway, so why save it. Using DAO you can have an uninterupted performance but if you want to listen to audio near the and of the disc you don't have to wade through many minutes of material just to get to the right spot. burning. SF comes with a very simple burn app. I don't see any point to it myself as most users have both Real Audio and Windows media player and they both have simple burn apps which will do the same track at once burning included as well.
