There are free font managers which can help. X-Fonter is a good choice as you have control over the text and background colours.

In the text editing window (click on the FX box on the text clip),
highlight the text whose font you want to change.
While that text is highlighted, click on the font drop-down box.
In the drop down, as you select different fonts, you'll see the highlighted text in the background change as you go.

Just select the font from the drop down list, and use the down arrow key on the keyboard to advance through the fonts. You'll see what each style looks like as you change from one to the other.
