When I tried to reopen my projects
"this file is an unsuported format" while opening an acid project?

I am running with win2K/acid pro4f.
Is there a way to recover an acid project?

What could be the reason of this error?

thx

Hi,

Were these projects in acid 3.0x previously? I think you need to load them then resave them.

no, these project was under acid 4.0 a .
I uninstalled my acid 40 f version and reinstall the acid 40 a version : it's the same problem.

Hmm...strange one that I can't help you with. Someone from SF should be of more help or someone else more involved with this stuff....sorry!

I don't have ACID up but my first guess is that something happened to one of your licensed plug-ins, and if your acd file has one of these you'd get an error message.

Try this: open a file (say a wav), try rendering to mpeg and to mp3 one of these will probably say you must register. Registering should fix it.
This could be a Quicktime thing--did you create the an acd that had a Quicktime file and then uninstalled Quicktime?

If those aren't the problem, try going down the Render As list and see if you find a culprit.

I try to rendering to mp3 and mpg, no problem at all.
I mostly use freeware plugins, I try to open my project on another computers, same error.
I really thing that something, somewhere, corrupted my acd projects. And its quiet bad for my work...
I have done nothing with quictime.

Thx a lot

e-mail Tech Support. I really hope your acds are okay; it's possible they're corrupt, but maybe it's something simple we're just missing.

I should add that the tech support form has an Attach Documents entry. It would help to send an .acd or .acd-zip along.
