Anything you record via line in will be digital audio. MIDI is just a set of instructions, whereas digital audio is the actual thing. There are different ways of getting a MIDI interface to your computer. The simplest is to go via USB like this one from M-Audio. Sure. There's the overall MIDI interface page. Also, products like Echo's MiaMIDI and the Audiophile 2496 from M-Audio provide both a MIDI I/O solution and a pro-level 24-bit/96 kHz audio interface. The solution I mentioned before is the more inexpensive of the options and requires no opening of your system to install. (It only needs an available USB port.) Your local music store, if they're smart enough, should at least carry one of these items. Don't expect to get a discount though. If you have a standard, 15-pin joystick port on your system, you could also go the MIDI adapter cable route. (An example of such a cable is here. Your local music store or even Best Buy or CompUSA should have this cable as well. HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

Have you checked your audio settings from the systray? Check to see if anything is set as being muted. Check in the program for inputs if there are any settings for this. Mike |
